Meet SCALE-UP at the Connecting Europe Days in Brussels!

From 2-5 April 2024, SCALE-UP is present at the Connecting Europe Days at the Square Meeting Center in Brussels, Belgium.

The event is organised by the European Commission's Directorate-General for Mobility and Transport together with the Belgian Presidency of the Council of the EU and serves as a platform for stakeholders across Europe to discuss and collaborate on key issues related to transport connectivity and infrastructure, specifically on the level of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T).

The overreaching aim is to foster dialogue, share best practices, drive innovation in transport, and ultimately contribute to achieving the ambitious goals set out in the European Green Deal and the Sustainable and Smart Mobility Strategy.

SCALE-UP is present among 70+ other exhibitors, with a dedicated stand N° 16, throughout the event, showcasing its knowledge and expertise of the first 3 years of the project and the measures developed so far in the 3 European SCALE-UP Urban Nodes Antwerp (BE), Madrid (ES) and Finland (Turku) that ensure the vertical (governmental) and horizontal (dimensional) upscaling of urban mobility. MOVE21 project, the sister project of SCALE-UP will showcase its developments at a dedicated stand N°12.

On 3 April 2024, at 09:00-12:30 at the Grand Hall 1, Mr Michiel Penne, Smart Ways to Antwerp Coordinator at City of Antwerp, SCALE-UP Project Coordinator, will pitch the SCALE-UP project and shine the spotlight on preliminary results under the TEN-T lense during the Marketplace session.

On 3 April 2024, at 09:00-10:30 at the Cooper Hall, in the session entitled Urban nodes: connecting the TEN-T network and urban mobility, Mr Peter Staelens, Head of Mobility at Eurocities, a SCALE-UP project partner, will present how Urban Nodes play a crucial role in the TEN-T network that can further facilitate efficient and sustainable transport, and enhance economic development.

On the same day, at 14:45-16:15 at the Gold Hall, Mr Guy Janssens, VP Strategic & Public Affairs will represent the Port of Antwerp-Bruges, a SCALE-UP partner, and will share his insights on the key measures, following the adoption of the revised TEN-T Regulation at the plenary session “ Launching the implementation of the revised TEN-T Regulation”.

On the last day of the event, on 5 April 2024, at 11:00-12:30 at the Copper Hall, Mr Koen Cuypers, Mobility Expert from the Port of Antwerp-Bruges, will participate at the European Transport Corridor Meeting for the North Sea – Rhine – Mediterranean.
